Division I Boys
Lakeland will look to make some noise in a very tough. Coach Tom Prawdzik will field a team numbering three dozen participants.
Aftr a 0-6 mark last season, the Chiefs will look to a eight veterans to lead the way.
Seniors, Al Tuzze, a state medalist headlines the retrunees list that includes seniors, Derrick Hanley, Randy Galinsky, Jesse Borosky, Steve Munley and Tyler Bednash, juniors, Dalton Larkin, David Scalzo and Remy Hosking and sophomore, Jake Noldy.
Seniors, Dylan Wrobleski, Josh Guzzi and Stephen Skierski join juniors, Ben Johnson, Tim Von Storch, Tyler Gilroy, Stan Kaminsky, James Polito, Bill Mecca and Paul Szuskakowski as key newcomers. Sophomores, Tim Johnson, Willie Demyan, Jon Sekelsky, Joe LaRue, Nick Humphreys, Justin Walter, Mike Kawaski, Bruce Lindenmuth, Billy Thomas, Zack Krieger, Matt Munley, Mike Brennan, Tyler Strachem, Hugh Doyle, Daniel Luke and Brandon Newberry will also look to contribute to the team’s success.
The Chiefs must face divisional favorite, Valley View (6-0), North Pocono (6-0), Honesdale (5-1), Abington Heights (3-2-1), Scranton Prep (3-3), Delaware Valley (2-3-1) and Wallenpaupack (1-5). Valley View moves up from Division II.
Division I Girls
The Lady Chiefs are coming off a 2-3-1 season and return a solid neucleus.
Coach Linda Stephens has a handful of senior returnees in Hannah Tuffy, Shauna McGraw, Kristen Twardzik, Rachel Luke and Maggie Ritter. Junior returnees include Tory Doyle, Nicole Davitt, Alex Miller and Katie Ploacek. The top sophomores are Ashton Boyarsky and Sarah Larkin.
Key necomers include seniors, Brittany Gonsauls and Weronika Brexlawski, juniors, Jessica Arthur, Deanna Leri and Cassandra White. Sophomores dominate the newcomers group with Madleine Dastalfo, Janelle Bradley, Vanessa White, Jackie Brudzinski, Emily Williams, Brianna Brophy, Julienne Kozuch, Mora Hoyle, Tia Newberry, Jody Virbitsk and Abbie Rider.
The rest of D-I includes Abington Heights (6-0), Honesdale (4-2), Valley View (4-2), Scranton Prep (3-3), Wallenpaupack (3-2-1), North Pocono (1-5) and  Delaware Valley (1-5).
