Local businessman Tom Spall of Carbondale, owner of T. E. Spall & Son, received national recognition on March 18 at a HVAC industry conference, the 8th Annual NCI Summit, March 13 to 18, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The National Comfort Institute (NCI), a leader in heating and cooling diagnostics, training, and consultation, honored Spall with the 2011 Business Leadership Contractor of the Year award in the small business category. The award was based on T.E. Spall & Son’s commitment to training excellence, outstanding achievement in testing, quality service, and implementation of NCI best practices and efficiency standards.
NCI president Rob Falke stated, “These companies are the best of the best and we are proud to have them associated with National Comfort Institute.”
Spall’s business was founded in Carbondale in 1985 and currently employs 25 people. The company provides a wide range of heating and cooling solutions, including geothermal comfort systems, to homes and business throughout northeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
