Timothy Joseph Turano, of Carbondale, died Friday, March 25, 2011, in South Carolina.
Born in Scranton, son of Joseph A. and Patricia Kacer Turano, he was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church.  A 2006 graduate of Carbondale Area High School, he attended Penn State Worthington Scranton.  He was employed as an equipment operator for Fastenal Corporation, Jessup, and he was also employed with his uncle Steve’s multi-trade business. 
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, and he enjoyed golfing and watching NASCAR.  He had a great love of animals, life, and music.  He was a self-taught guitar player and saxophonist, enjoyed playing the keyboard.
He was a loving son and brother and a great nephew and companion to his uncle Steve.
Also surviving are: a brother - Vincent, Carbondale; maternal grandparents Steven and Grace Kacer, Carbondale; paternal grandparents Anthony and Mary Turano, RD Carbondale; two uncles - Steven Kacer and David Turano, both of Carbondale; and one aunt, Lisa Leininger, Springfield, Illinois.
The funeral was Monday, March 28, from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Funeral Liturgy at Trinity Episcopal Church celebrated by Rev. Donald J. Schaible, Rector.  Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
