Ann Marie Durkin Petrini, 64 of Carbondale, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011.

Ann Marie Durkin Petrini, 64 of Carbondale, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Community Medical Center, Scranton, after an illness.  She is the wife of Richard T. Petrini.
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Robert and Anna May Scheressey Durkin, she was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church.  She was a 1964 graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, and was very active with its Reunion Committee.  She was a homemaker, taking care of her daughters and grandchildren.
Also surviving are: five daughters — Donna M. Bannon, Carbondale; Brenda S. Zintel and husband Kevin, Carbondale; Laura E. Hughes and husband Michael, Olyphant; Sara T. Petrini, Carbondale; Melissa A. Petrini and fiancée Chad Gillette, Waymart; four grandsons — Gerald P. Bannon, Kevin R. Zintel, and Quintin M. Petrini, all of Carbondale and Hunter J. Hughes, Olyphant; eight brothers — R. Patrick Durkin, Syracuse, N.Y.; Joseph Durkin and wife Barbara, Mountain Top; John Durkin and wife Patricia, Pinellas Park, Fl.; James Durkin and wife Sharon, Carbondale; Walter Durkin, Carbondale; Stephen Durkin, Carbondale; Jerome Durkin and wife Judith, Carbondale, and Carl Durkin, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Griffiths, Scranton; a brother-in-law, Roy Petrini, Scranton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by: a son-in-law, Gerald J. Bannon; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Durkin.
The funeral was held Tuesday, April 26, from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at  St. Rose of Lima Church.  Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
