What’s your job?  I work with the patients in need of spinal rehabilitation and posture therapies to help achieve and maintain optimal spinal health in support of what Dr. Latimer does in correcting spinal subluxations. Also help patients progress into achieving overall fitness. Other duties include maintaining the website, and marketing responsibilities.
What is your professional background?
I have a bachelor's degree in commercial design, and worked in marketing/advertising for over 20 years, then decided to pursue my passion, a fitness-oriented career. I’m a Certified Fitness Trainer through ISSA (International Sports and Sciences Association), Therapy Band Certified, Group Exercise Certified, Zumba Instructor and Certified Silver Sneaker Instructor. Worked as a Fitness Trainer at Racqueteers Health and Fitness, as well as a Trainer/Zumba Instructor/Silver Sneaker Instructor, and with the nurse-monitored 'In The Cardiac Direction' health program at the Greater Carbondale YMCA.  I currently teach Zumba classes as an independent instructor at Riverside Fitness in Carbondale.
What do you like about your work?
It's fun and rewarding to be able to help people who were previously in pain and/or lacking a quality of life due to back pain/spinal issues. Seeing them progress and get their life back is something special.
Why did you choose this kind of job?
I chose to work here because it afforded me the opportunity to continue to learn and grow in my field in a valuable direction.
