When Nevaeh Cost, a first grade student at Carbondale Area Elementary School, wrote a letter to President Barrak Obama, she wasn’t sure if she’d get an answer.
Nevaeh wrote the letter because she was troubled about the education of children throughout the world. She decided to voice her concerns to the President.
In late February, to her great surprise, she received a package from the White House. Inside was a letter from the President, thanking Nevaeh for her concern and encouraging her to continue to strive for academic excellence. She also received an autographed photo of the President, a photo card of "Bo"' the first dog, and information about the White House.
Nevaeh is the daughter of Nick and Kristen Cost, Carbondale.
