This is the 23rd class of Scholastic Superstars who our local newspaper refers to as “students who excel in academics, serve their communities and act as role models to their peers.”

I asked our Scholastic Superstar to tell us what being selected for this honor feels like and Shannon replied, “It’s a great honor and I’d like to thank my teachers for helping me to get this far” Shannon hopes to attend MIT to pursue a degree Electrical Engineering.
We at Carbondale Area recognize Shannon’s accomplishments and send congratulations on being selected as a Scranton Times/Tribune Scholastic Superstar.
