Constance V. Rogan, 90, of Carbondale, died Aug. 24 at Geisinger CMC, Scranton.
She was the widow of Jack Rogan, who died in 1989.
Born in Felling, England, she was the daughter of the late William and Alice White Wardle. She met her husband, Jack Rogan during World War II and was married May 15, 1948 in Felling England.
Connie left her family and her country on the ship USS America to come to the United States to raise her family and make a new life in Carbondale, Pa.
She was a woman of incredible strength and determination and was a loving and supportive mother and Nana. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
She was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the War Bride Club.
Surviving are a daughter: Maureen Latanick and husband David, Columbus, OH; three sons: John Rogan and wife Barbara; Patrick Rogan and wife Barbara; and Joseph Rogan, all of Carbondale; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Sharon Rogan; a brother: William Wardle; and a sister: Alma Hodgson.
The funeral was Aug. 30 from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
