Scranton, Pa.– The Junior League of Scranton will hold a Community Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Tripp House, located at 1011 North Main Ave.

Anyone interested in donating may call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or register online at www.RedCrossBlood.org. (Please use sponsor code “JLS” when you register.) Photo identification is required to participate, and walk-ins are welcome. Regular donors may donate blood every 56 days.

One donation may help save up to three lives; every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. More than 41,000 blood donations are needed in the United States every day.

The Junior League of Scranton is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving Scranton and its neighboring communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
