PennDOT's Scheduled Roadwork for the Week November 2 through November 9, 2018

Lackawanna County

There will be traffic issues on the Harrison Ave Bridge on Sunday, November 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  for the re-dedication of the Colonel Francis J. Duffy Memorial Park at the southern side of the Duffy Memorial Bridge  Crown Ave at Moosic St, Scranton.  The bridge will be closed to traffic.

Short Term 

•SR 435--Roaring Brook Twp.-Single Lane -Ditching/Drainage Improvements-Monday 10/29/2018-Tuesday 10/30/2018-8 AM to 3 PM

•SR 690-Madisonville Rd.-Moscow/Madison Twp.-Flagging operation-Ditching/Drainage Improvements-Wednesday 10/31/2018-Friday 11/02/2018-8 AM to 3 PM

Long Term

•SR 1012, Archbald Borough- At the intersection of Kennedy Drive and County Road, work is taking place to form a four-way intersection with the opposite Borough street. A new traffic signal will be installed at this intersection as well, and Kennedy Drive will be widened to accommodate a center turn lane from Main Street to Monica Drive. An additional left turn lane may be added on Main for left turns on to Kennedy Drive. The project should be completed by the summer of 2018. They paving work began on Wednesday September 19 and will continue through Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

•SR 307 Bridge over 81 (Moosic St, Scranton) June 28 thru August 10 – Northbound side will be closed and traffic will be down to one lane each way on the southbound side as per the traffic control plans. This is for the rehabilitation activities of SR307 and abutments. These dates are all tentative and can be changed due to submittal approvals and/or unforeseen issues at the project site. The River Street on ramp to I-81 N tentatively schedule  to be shut down on August 15, 2018.   The ramp will be reopen during the week of November 12.    There will be a detour in place for the duration in which traffic will be directed south to Montage Mt RoadExit on 81, spin around back onto 81 North.  The project will shut down for the winter by Thanksgiving.  The project will resume in the spring of 2019 and no additional closing of River St off ramp will be needed.

Bridge Now Open to traffic . SR 6011(Harrison Avenue), Scranton - As part of the ongoing project to replace the Harrison Avenue Bridge, the Central Scranton Expressway is a single lane pattern in each direction.  The project completion is 2018.
