Teri’s Deli & Bakery, 104 S. Main St. (Rt. 107), Forest City, is a family-operated eatery owned and run by Teri Madrid and her children, Jake and Marlo.
What kinds of food do you serve?
We offer standard American favorites, like hoagies and cheese steak sandwiches, salads, , soups and chili. Sometimes we’ll have dinner specialties, like lasagna. We also serve breakfast made-to-order all day.
Who does what?
When I cooked at Cables Deli in Union Dale, Marlo and Jake took an interest in cooking as well. Jake like to do the sandwiches and meals, and Marlo and I do the baking. All of our stuff is home-baked, such as pies, cookies, and cakes, and we also do special-order cakes.
What do you like about the business?
It’s nice meeting and talking with people all the time. And so many people around here are willing to lend a hand when needed. It’s a nice area to have a small, friendly, family-type business.
