What is your job?
As administrative secretary, is sit at the front desk in the office, which is a very busy place. Officially, most of my duties involve recordkeeping and office management, like keeping track of attendance and ordering supplies. But because there’s always so much going on, I also answer a lot of questions and fulfill the needs of students, teachers and administrators.
How long have you had this job?
I’ve worked for the Lakeland School District for 34 years. I started as a library aide in 1977, and two years later took a secretarial position in the principal’s office.
What do you like best about your job?
I like being around, working with and help the students. I also like looking forward to going to work everyday where there is a friendly atmosphere.
