Rep. Tom Marino recently issued his Legislative Review for 2011.  He wrote:

"As the 112th Congress begins its second session, I wanted to take a moment to express to you how truly honored I am to have been able to represent you over the past year.  I was sent to Washington with a clear message from the people of the 10th Congressional District of Pennsylvania and it is my hope that together, we will continue working toward downsizing Washington, reducing government spending, and keeping taxes low.

"It is my number one priority to make sure, as constituents, your needs and interests are represented in the nation's capital.  To best achieve this, my office has hosted a number of forums over the past year, including: bi-monthly mobile office hours in Bradford, Pike, and Wayne Counties; a senior fair hosted in Tunkhannock; service academy forums for high school students; veterans' fairs in Pike and Union Counties; four telephone townhalls from Washington; and numerous open houses, public meetings, and symposiums throughout the district.

"I would encourage you to contact one of my offices at any point to share questions, concerns, or comments on legislative issues that are important to you.  Over the past year my staff and I worked diligently to respond to over 40,000 constituent inquiries.  I also made it a priority to sponsor and co-sponsor legislation important to the people of the 10th District.  In addition to sponsoring the Preserving Our Hometown Pharmacies Act, the Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act, and the Safeguarding Access for Every Medicare Patient Act, I am also a proud co-sponsor of over 100 bills, all aimed at bettering the lives of people in Pennsylvania and across the nation.

"Staff at my three constituent service centers, located in Williamsport, Tunkhannock, and Sunbury, are available to help you with a variety of issues including assistance with government agencies and applying for federal grants.  Staff at my office in Washington, D.C. can answer questions you may have about bills being considered by Congress and are also able to provide assistance with arranging Capitol tours, requesting flags flown over the U.S. Capitol, entering Congressional commendations and remarks into the official record, and nominating students to service academies.

"To share your thoughts with me, you can visit my website or call one of my four offices.  Additionally, I hope you will sign-up to receive my e-Newsletter, a regular email report that will provide you with important and thorough updates on what I am doing to serve you in Washington and in Pennsylvania.  Signing up for the e-Newsletter requires only basic information and would allow for an open and constant line of communication (information you provide will not be shared with third parties).

"I look forward to another successful year as your representative in Congress, and hope you will call on my staff or myself when you need assistance or information about Congress or the federal government."
