Martin Peter Judge, 70, Carbondale, PA., died Thursday morning, Oct. 20, 2011, at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. He is survived by his wife, the former Jo-Ann Thompson.  They were married on October 27, 1962.
Born June 20, 1941 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Martin and Gertrude (Medland) Judge.
He was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School.  He received an associate’s degree from Lackawanna Junior College and attended the University of Scranton.  He had been employed for the past 15 years at Procter and Gamble in Mehoopany, and was the former Carbondale finance director and city manager. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church.
 The family would like to thank to Hospice Community Care and Traditional Home Health & Hospice for the compassionate care given to Pete during his illness.
He is survived by: one son, Thomas Judge and wife Carrie of Eynon; two daughters — Colleen and Michelle Judge, both of Carbondale; four grandchildren Matthew, Brandon, Connor and Gabrielle Judge; one sister: Avis Moran of Honesdale, PA.; a sister-in-law, Mary Cosminski and husband Phil of Dalton; a brother-in-law, Edward Thompson and wife Nancy of Sewell, N.J.; nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Oct. 25, from the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace St., Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
