A couple weeks ago, Sarah Palin’s 21-year-old daughter Bristol was shooting a reality show segment in West Hollywood when a gay activist screamed at her: “Your mother’s a [freaking] whore! She’s evil! She’s the [freaking] devil!”
“If there’s a hell — which I don’t believe there is one — she will be there,” he continued.
Bristol asked him why, then answered the question for him: “Is it because you’re a homosexual?”
“Pretty much,” he admitted.
Question: Who’s the hater here?
Then there’s the recent incident with the openly gay teacher in Fort Worth, Texas, who had a picture of two men kissing posted on the front wall of the classroom and actively promoted homosexuality to his students, telling them they’d “better learn to accept it.”
When a 14-year-old honor student in the class turned to one of his fellow students and said he believes homosexuality is wrong, the teacher made sure that the wrath of the entire school district was unleashed against him — for having the gall to express a personal opinion in a private conversation. The youngster was berated, ostracized, expelled from school. Only when a Christian legal firm intervened on behalf of the child was he allowed to return to school.
Again: Who’s the hater?
These are only two of many examples that I could cite, because anyone who has ever taken a public stand against the gay agenda knows what to expect from gay activists and their supporters — an avalanche of hatred and vitriol unmatched by advocates of any other cause or ideology.
These so-called “voices of tolerance” are committed to advancing the gay agenda by any means necessary. To do that, they will demonize anyone who dares to speak out against it. This is, interestingly, the textbook definition of bullying.
Take the controversy surrounding Chastity Bono, who is calling herself “Chaz” and claiming to be a man after having her breasts cut off and taking massive amounts of hormones.
“Chaz” is a contestant this season on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. That’s because, as I wrote in my Good Fight column three weeks ago, ABC and the rest of the liberal establishment is promoting transgenderism as the new norm. It’s the next stage in advancing the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) movement.
But not everyone is cheering the new “belle” of the ball.

Many fans of the show reacted with shock and displeasure at the selection. ABC immediately branded them “crazies” and hired security to protect “Chaz,” even though network officials admitted that not a single threat of any kind had been made.
Dr. Keith Ablow wrote a column warning parents to keep their kids away from DWTS because, as he put it, the show is treating “Chaz Bono’s chemically and surgically altered appearance as a blessing to us all.”
“That’s very near insane,” he concluded. “It’s a psychologically destructive myth and can erode our children’s evolving senses of self.”
Then he adds: “I’m going to take heat for saying all this...I already have for making similar statements in the past.”
Yes, even when you’re a licensed practitioner of medicine, offering a diagnosis based on decades of training and practice, you’re branded a “hate-monger” if you dare question the LGBT movement or its far-reaching public policy goals.
But even that’s not enough for radical LGBT activists. They want to pass laws ensuring the forced acceptance and promotion of these various lifestyles, compelling the coerced celebration of them.
As Dr. Scott Lively points out: “Much of the country is on that cusp of celebration/coercion today, led by California with its new aggressive K-12 homosexual advocacy curriculum, mandated by law.”
Years ago LGBT activists insisted that teachers in these lifestyles would never use the classroom to promote them, but as Dr. Lively notes: “They all lied, and we believed them, and now our children and grandchildren are being forced to celebrate gay culture under penalty of law.”
That’s what this debate is all about — restructuring society by government fiat, the forced acceptance of LGBT lifestyles, under penalty of law. It is not about the private lives of people in the LGBT community or any of those lifestyles, which I made perfectly clear in my previous column. No one wants to interfere with their lives, living arrangements, social contracts, etc., but neither do we want the catastrophic fallout we know will come from redefining marriage, LGBT-izing the military and so on.
If Chastity Bono wants to undergo surgical mutilation and hormone therapy, and tell everyone she’s a “man,” that’s her life and it’s her choice. If her family, friends, the entire LGBT community and anyone else want to go along with it, that’s fine, too. But don’t ask me to.
Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association spoke for many millions of Americans when he wrote that “Chaz” is “a she in every single cell of her body and will be until the day she dies. Her DNA from the moment of conception was indisputably female, and it always will be female....When individuals are so mentally unsettled that they start cutting body parts off themselves, it’s time to get them some help.”
Dr. Ablow and Dr. Lively both made this same point, yet for over a week I kept hearing that “Chaz” is very much a “he” and anyone who doubts it is narrow-minded and bigoted, denying reality. Along with all the hate and bullying that Dr. Ablow, Dr. Lively and so many others were being subjected to, and ABC’s press release about the “crazies,” I’d had about enough. If this was going to be their defense of “Chaz’s” “manhood,” then I said “Chaz” should be willing to prove it by dropping the pants.
The point I was making, when read in context, was obvious enough: “Chaz” doesn’t have to drop the pants because everyone already knows what the truth really is. We’re just not supposed to say so.
So of course there was a visceral reaction to my challenge. They know that, if it were to happen, then we’d all see who’s really crazy.
And who the real haters are, too.
