THE GOOD FIGHT: Occupy-ing the Left's evils

Occupy Wall Street anarchists march on the police. The protests have been marked by violence, mass arrests, rank anti-Semitism, socialist slogans, anti-Christian rhetoric and signs, public sex and drug use, and at least one police car being defecated upon.

Every dirty, filthy, rotten lie that the Left told about the Tea Party turned out to be true — not about the Tea Party, but about Occupy Wall Street.

It’s all there — the “astroturf,” the racial animosity, the mass arrests, the mob violence.  All of it.

Remember that when the Tea Party protests erupted spontaneously in 2009, Nancy Pelosi accused the movement of being funded and orchestrated behind the scenes by some unnamed but very wealthy, politically-motivated people.

“We call it astroturf,” she said of the Tea Party.  “It’s not really a grassroots movement.”

Those ties to unnamed nefarious money-men never existed at all, so needless to say Pelosi and her Democrat colleagues weren’t able to present any factual evidence to back up their absurd claims.

However, the more we find out about Occupy Wall Street — and the “occupiers” of other cities in America and elsewhere — the more we learn about the financial investments and motivating influence of billionaire George Soros, the “Puppet Master” of the Left.

That’s no surprise, since Soros has been bankrolling so much of the liberal media — with his established ties to dozens of media outlets — and so much of left-wing political activism around the globe for years, and particularly here in America.

It was reported this week that an economist funded by Soros taught a course on global finance to the Occupy Wall Street anarchists, as well as addressing their counterparts in Spain — just the latest connection to be uncovered between Soros and these riots taking place in major cities.

Unlike the Tea Party, there is nothing “grassroots” or “middle class” about Occupy Wall Street.  Indeed, this so-called revolution was promised in advance, by Obama’s former green czar Van Jones, the admitted communist and 9/11 “truther.”  He announced weeks ago that leftists would be taking to the streets this month as the counter-culture’s answer to the Tea Party.

Of course, from the time the Tea Party first emerged, the Left has been warning of mass arrests and mob violence that would result from the “hate” which was purportedly driving this movement.  But none of it ever materialized.

The Tea Party protesters have been peaceful and law-abiding all along.  Even when they rallied in record numbers on the Capitol Mall in Washington, they cleaned up after themselves and left the ellipse in better condition than they found it.

Conversely, in New York, the Occupy Wall Street crowd turned Zuccotti Park into one big garbage dump.  Now we’re seeing rioting and outbursts of violence, along with hundreds of arrests.

We watch protesters having sexual relations on city streets, using drugs openly, defecating on police cars, throwing garbage cans, carrying signs which say things like “If Jesus returns, kill him again,” and generally causing mayhem.  All in the name of promoting big government and the welfare state.

Meanwhile, Obama’s class warfare heats up and his shout-outs to these anarchists get louder and more pronounced.  Charles Krauthammer points out that Obama’s populist demagoguery is not only intellectually dishonest, but:  “It’s dangerous.  Popular resentment, easily stoked, is less easily controlled, especially when the basest of instincts are granted legitimacy by the nation’s leader.”

And while the Left has consistently used the race card to try to smear the Tea Party — as they do with anyone who opposes their agenda — they haven’t been able to back up these charges, either.  Most notably, when some black Democrats walked through a Tea Party crowd trying to purposely incite inflammatory language or acts against them, they simply couldn’t provoke any such reactions.

These liberals then claimed afterward that they had been subjected to racism, at which point conservative Andrew Breitbart offered $10,000 to anyone who could produce actual footage of the alleged slurs.  Despite the fact that dozens of the antagonists came armed with camera phones to record everything that was said and done during this confrontation, no such video evidence was ever produced.

Yet the “occupiers” have been quite open in using anti-Semitic epithets, and in one instance the Occupy Atlanta anarchists went through a bizarre chanting ritual and then refused to allow John Lewis, an icon of the civil-rights era, to address them.

Most people aren’t aware of this incident, or any of the other destrutive or racially-divisive or simply abhorrent behavior, because mainstream media outlets have done such a good job of covering it all up.

As the New York Post noted:  “How ironic that none of [the MSM] noted the hypocrisy of a group that is being compared to the civil-rights movement rebuffing a man who helped lead those protests.”

But that’s nothing compared to the hypocrisy of the Left itself in its support of a movement that embodies all of the evils that they tried — falsely in every single instance — to lay at the feet of the Tea Party.
