For the second time in two months, Michael Sam has been released by an NFL team. This time it was the Dallas Cowboys. According to Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com, Sam was waived so the Cowboys could sign linebacker Troy Davis. Sam, who played college football at the University of Missouri and was named co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2013, was originally drafted by the Rams in May with the 249th overall pick in the seventh round.
