Lakeland’s Lady Chiefs had to take care of business last Monday night at home against Elk Lake to set up a first half showdown at Montrose tonight (Wed.) to determine the first half Lackawanna League D-III title.
Lakeland (4-1 D-III, 6-5 overall) could force a playoff with Montrose (5-0) and possible Forest cIty (4-1) with a win over the Lady Meteors and a triumph against Elk Lake.

Lakeland had an 18-12 first period lead and put the game away with a 22-11 run in the middle periods.
