Greenfield Township, PA - The Andrew Mazza Foundation is hosting their 3rd Annual Chicken BBQ dinner on August 25, 2018 from 11am-6pm at Creekside Grove located at 3885 State Route 374 in Lennoxville, PA. Proceeds from The Andrew Mazza Foundation support Johnson College Diesel Program Scholarships, establishing a Lakeland High School scholarship, community support and enrichment for both Greenfield Township and Clifford and donations to families from our community who have experienced the loss of a loved one far too soon.

Andrew Mazza is a 2011 graduate of Lakeland High School and received a degree in Machine Tool Technology from Lackawanna Career Technology Center.

He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union, Local 542. Andrew was taken from those who loved him far too soon as the result of a tragic auto accident, but to those who loved him dearly he will always be their hero. Thankfully Andrew had the opportunity to give a young woman, also involved in the accident, the opportunity to live a full life and raise her beautiful baby boy. He was her smile, her hands, her shoulders, and her company when she needed it the most.

While those close to him will forever grieve his loss, to know him, is to know...that what he did, is exactly what they would’ve expected him to do. This is why family and friends have come together to give back as Andrew did throughout this short time with them.

In addition to chicken dinners the BBQ will feature basket raffles, 50/50 raffles, horseshoes, “Spool in Peace” apparel, baked goods, hamburgers and hot dogs, popcorn and snacks.

Live entertainment will be provided throughout the event by friend’s of Andrew’s including Burley and the Beaver, Friends in Low Places and Chris Mullineaux. The Event will also feature Lucchi Family Wine Cellars from Scranton, PA doing a wine tasting and sale as well as a beverage tent for those 21 years of age or older. Theresa Bandru, Marketing and Sponsorship Chair for the

Andrew Mazza Foundation said "Although the reason that we are gathered here is a tragedy that we have all experienced, we have experienced it together, as a community.

This BBQ not only allows us to help support and give back to the community that Andrew called home, but also for Andrew's family and friends to gather together and celebrate his life and his memory while reconnecting with each other as Andrew loved to do."
